To shop online, you need a credit card. But what if you don’t have one?

Maybank has enabled “Maybankard Secure Online Shopping Registration” which enables anyone who has maybank ATM card to use the card online. It’s a Visa.

Here are some situations I have encountered in online shopping:

  1. I really wanted to buy an app on Apple App Store.
  2. eBay sounds good. But i need a credit card.
  3. Some local websites now have online payment available. But only if you had a credit card. You wish…

So here are the steps. Make sure you have your Maybankard in front of you.

Step 1

Fire up your browser and go to http://www.maybank2u.com.my.

Step 2

Hit the login button and login.

Step 3

This is the first screen you’ll see after you login. Notice the “Maybankard Secure Online Shopping Registration” at the bottom of the page under Utilities section. Click it.

Click the image above to enlarge it.

Step 4

You’ll be taken to the Maybankard Secure Online Shopping (MSOS) Registration page. Take your time filling in all details in the form.

MSOS Password: your password.

Personal assurance message: Just time anything you’ll remember. Like your cat’s name, favourite car, anything. Or just leave it blank.

Expired date: It’s the ‘valid thru’ on the card. For example: 06/14. So the expired date is June 2014.

CVV: Click “View Sample”

Hint and answers: It’s a secret question and answer.

Step 5

When you are done, click submit. That’s it. You’ll see a success page.

How to use it online?

Online shopping site usually asks for payment method, card number, security code, and expiration date.

The payment method for this card is Visa. Card number is the long number on your card. Security code is at the back of your card – usually 3 digits. Expiration date is on the card.

Warning: Do not reveal your card information to anonymous website, phishing website, any alien website you do not recognize, forum, or any website unless you are on a secured line. Always read the URL.

  1. Skip Hop Studio Diaper Tote Bag is awesome. So several wallets – and not these modest, useless pockets, either. All of the actual pockets tend to be a fantastic size and really help maintain every thing organized. The handles are a wonderful length and fit nicely more than the actual shoulder; the handle shoulder straps also stay place on my arm, which is crucial when you’re having a child. The handbag looks fantastic, too. Not too fancy, but not too casual. (I have it in black) The material is soft (can’t believe of a far better word) so it’s easy to squeeze in to tight spaces – but yet it’s sturdy. I’ve a Fleurville Lexi carrier and I love it, too, but this tote is actually type of inflexible. I think this Skip*Hop can grow to be my daily bag. It’s a bit large – so if you are not in to significant bags this may possibly be much better as an over-night baby diaper tote.

  5. I bought this bag for a trip I took where I wanted to make sure my valuables stayed safe and close. I loved it and got hooked on having a small bag where it was easy to grab what I needed quickly without digging into a black hole. I haven’t stopped using it yet, and won’t anytime soon.
